Pictures from the Race

I hate running, but I let my husband talk me into doing the Bridge Run in Charleston. No, I didn’t train. I ate a donut and drank a huge cup of coffee prior to the race, so it’s fair to say that I am not one of those crazy serious runners who have all the cutting edge gear. I even forgot to bring a scrunchy and had to borrow one from a friend at the starting line. I had no expectations of winning anything. I honestly considered just walking the whole darn thing.

When my alarm went off at 4:45am, this is the video I made:

I Need Coffee!

At about 7:30am, this was my happiness:

America runs on Dunkin’…just not very fast. 😉

I will say that the scenery of the Bridge Run is quite gorgeous. It almost makes it worth doing.

Bobbing and Weaving Through Traffic…Oh yeah! Just keep running, just keep running.”

The highlight of the trip, however, was the amazing time we had at the Battery in Charleston. There was a group of older men there with their wonderfully trained dogs. Brennan loves animals. Adie is a little more hesitant, but she found her courage that day.
